Logistics/Shipping Manager
Obtain and read customer routing/compliance guides for instructions and requirements:
- Shipping
- Ticketing and labeling
- Trucking
- Date Compliance
Possess Experience and Current Working Knowledge of:
- All domestic and international shipping guidelines and paperwork
- EDI and all associated transactions (810, 850, 856, 860 etc)
- CRM database
Coordinate with Various Departments and Customers with regard to:
- Ship testing when necessary with customers and new ship to locations
- Production Department to follow up with inventory reorders
- Sales Dept to monitor all sales orders routed thru distribution center/factories/via EDI
- Accounting Dept to ensure accurate processing of all invoicing
- Sales and Production Dept’s regarding inventory levels of stock items
- Support the data entry of all orders into company database
- Production/Warehouse for special projects associated with pick and pack operations
Communicate all specific shipping information to our factories/distribution center
Keep updated records of requirements for each and every client
Monitor finished goods from assembly factory to Distribution Warehouse to Customer
Investigate and Challenge customer charge backs
File claims when necessary for any shipment damages/errors
Monitor warehouse to confirm all orders are received and shipped in a timely manner
Communicate and troubleshoot with warehouse daily on orders, returns, stock,
